Clearspring Organic Brown Sushi Rice is perfect for making delicious and nutritious dishes, including sushi. Although it takes longer than white sushi rice, the added whole grains and rich flavor are worth it!

Selenio rice, a short grain used in brown sushi rice, is similar to Japanese Japonica rice. It is grown organically in the Piedmont region of Italy, which is also known for growing risotto rice.

Preparation:

Rinse 1 cup (250g) sushi rice in cold water and drain. Place the rice in a saucepan with 2 cups (540ml) of cold water. Soak for at least 60 minutes. Bring to a boil, cover, and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 40 minutes or until all the water is absorbed. Remove from heat and let stand, covered, for 10 minutes.
