Dragon Superfoods Himalayan Black Salt is a natural rock salt that is hand-mined from salt mines in the foothills of the Himalayas. It was formed millions of years ago when oceanic salt deposits were lifted by the movement of the Earth's crust and the influence of hot magma. Black Himalayan salt contains over 95% sodium chloride and several essential minerals that are easily absorbed by the body in ionic form. These include potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and iron. The color of the salt crystals varies from grayish-white to black and can be slightly reddish. It has a slight sulfur odor.
Recommended use: Add to all dishes where you would normally add salt.
