Vivani is an organic chocolate brand founded in Herford, Germany in 2000 and owned by EcoFinia GmbH, a subsidiary of Ludwig Weinrich GmbH & Co. KG. — the same company that also creates the iChoc brand. Vivani was first presented in 2000 at the international organic food fair BioFach and has since grown to become the market leader in organic chocolate bars in Germany.
Vivani chocolate is made exclusively with certified organic ingredients. The cocoa comes only from small family-run cooperatives in Ecuador and the Dominican Republic — two of the world's finest cocoa growing regions. Unlike many other chocolate brands, Vivani does not use emulsifiers such as soy lecithin, which are often derived from genetically modified soybeans.
Vivani's product range is rich and original — over 20 different chocolate bar flavors, including many plant-based options: dark chocolate in different cocoa percentages (70–99%), white chocolate with coconut and mango, dark treats with chilli, cranberry and Mallorcan almonds, baking chocolate and drinking chocolate. In addition, Vivani also produces plant-based milk chocolate alternatives under the iChoc brand.
